Arson Detectives Investigating Two Fires At Suffolk County Park

Authorities are investigating two fires that were intentionally set at a park on Long Island.

Suffolk County Police Arson Section detectives are investigating the two fires, which were set at the Whitman Hollow Park, located at 1000 Map Lane in Commack, the Suffolk County Police Department said.

The first fire started on Tuesday, Nov. 2, inside the drainpipe in a restroom at the park, SCPD reported.

Police said the second was set in a pipe in the same restroom on either Saturday, Nov. 6 or Sunday, Nov. 7.

The fire was reported on Monday, Nov. 8, authorities said.

SCPD said the two fires caused minor damage, and no one was injured.
